Passenger

At the airport, the person that has paid to travel from one location to another location is the passenger.  In church, a passenger is someone that has made the decision to not just accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but have decided to take the things of God seriously, obey His Word, and serve in a ministry.  She hears the word and does the word.  She puts her hands to the plow, and goes to work at the church.  If someone asks them to work in a ministry, they don’t use excuses like:  Let me go pray about it;  I am too busy; I don’t like sister so and so; that’s too hard; I don’t like anyone telling me what to do;  I need to go home and cook for my husband.  The true Passenger in church understands that serving is very important in the Kingdom of God.  1Corinthians 9:19 states for though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all that I might win the more. A lot of times, people become Christians and never move from that position.  They never develop as a Daughter of God. They remain a Babe in Christ, or become a Carnal-Minded Christian; or eventually backslide.  But a Christian that is serious about the things of God hears the word and does the word.  She also does not get counseling from the ungodly.  But this person immediately finds a ministry she can join and work in it.  She learns how to pray.  She has devotion.  This person gets her boarding pass and quickly moves to the next step.  Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, this passenger will soon become the co-pilot and then the captain.
